Why do mainstream Muslims reject the claims of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani?
Mainstream Muslims reject the claim of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad because he presented himself as a prophet after the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, while the Qur’an and authentic hadith affirm that Prophethood ended with Muhammad ﷺ, who is Khatam an-Nabiyyin (the Seal and Final Prophet). This belief is a foundational pillar of Islamic creed and is unanimously agreed upon by scholars throughout Islamic history.
Therefore, any individual claiming prophethood after him contradicts this essential doctrine. From this viewpoint, Muslims consider Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani’s claim invalid and outside the boundaries of orthodox Islamic belief—not out of hatred, but out of adherence to the clear teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
