Reclaiming My Energy Through Movement — Not Just for My Body, But for My Mind
Hi everyone,
Motherhood has taught me a lot — especially about sacrifice. For a long time, I poured every bit of energy into my family, home, and responsibilities… and somewhere along the way, I started feeling like I had no time or identity left for myself.
It wasn’t until recently that I realized self-care doesn’t have to be quiet or passive. Sometimes, it’s powerful, sweaty, and structured.
I joined a fitness space in Manchester called The Olympus Projects that offers mythology-inspired group classes (with names like Aphrodite’s Quest and Herculean Trials). At first, I was just looking to move more — but it became something deeper.
It became my hour to be strong. Not just for others — for myself.
Their programs run in 8–12 week cycles, and having that structure gave me something reliable in a life full of unpredictability. Every session felt like a reminder that I still belong to me — even in the chaos of motherhood.
So, I’m curious:
How are you all carving out space for yourselves — whether it's through fitness, art, reading, walking, or something else entirely?
Would love to hear what’s helped you reconnect with your identity while raising others 💛
Warmly,A mom who’s finally feeling strong again — inside and out
